The Somerset, TCI

RBS Architects (2004-2006)

Budget: $12,500,000

Location: Providenciales, TCI

The Somerset is a large, residential condominium complex in the Turks and Caicos. It was one of the first projects I ever worked as a junior architect/apprentice. I cut my teeth on this job learning all about master plans, electrical layouts and compositional theory. While we were just the executive architects on this project to start with, we ended up doing a lot of design changes and most notably a redesign of the central pool; the standout feature of the project! Please see below from my personal archive of drawings I worked on.

Roles and Responsibilities:  2D rendering/images/videos + CAD work; Design Presentations; Feasibility Studies; Collation of all Documents & Drawings necessary for Building permit;  Florida Building Code Drawings/Detailing & MEP; Manufacturing Info; Schedules of Works & Accommodation; Contract Preparation; Delivery of Tender Documentation; Site Visits.
