This project was to be mine from start to finish. The project itself was completed 5 years ago now and the next pages are a quick example of the some of the process involved and how I got to the finished product. This project holds a special place in my heart. It was my first design out of university and seeing it finished was a dream come true. Architecturally speaking it is nothing revolutionary. It was extremely cost efficient though; built for £990,000 and sold for £4.5 million. Essentially, it is based on a Corbusian domino house, and all of the detailing is in the concrete finishes. Although my client added things, for the most part, I am incredibly grateful for his persistence in sticking to the original concept. The only construction luxuries were the glass balustrading and infinity edge pool.
